Original 1951 Dated British Military Physical Training Shorts - Size 3

An original pair of British military physical training shorts dating from 1951 and of the same pattern used during the Second World War.

This style of shorts was used by the British Army and RAF during the Second World war for physical training and were often referred to as 'PT Shorts'. The shorts are made from a lightweight, blue coloured cotton drill and feature a short button fly which fastens with black plastic buttons.

Inside the shorts the original label is still present and is bright and legible. The title of 'Shorts Gymnastic, Blue' as is the size of 3 and the maker's name of 'Gymplex Ltd'. The War department broad arrow marking is also present as is the 1951 date.

The shorts are designed to fit a 34" waist and stretch from 28" to 19" across the waist due to being elasticated. 

The shorts are in good condition with some signs of wear and use. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that these are a pre-owned pair of vintage shorts.
