Original 1940s British Royal Navy White Cotton Drill Work Trousers

SOLD

Code: 54004

An original pair of Royal Navy working trousers dating from the 1940s.

These trousers are typical of the inter-war and Second World War periods. Made from a white cotton drill they feature a high rise waist and the fly fastens with buttons with more fitted around the waist to which braces can be attached. All the buttons are metal, typical of British workwear during this period. Slash pockets are located to the hips whilst the rear of the trousers features a fishtail back, typical of early British trousers.

The trousers will suit someone of around a 30" waist depending on desired fit and when laid flat measure -

Waist - 15 3/4"
Rise - 13 1/2"
Rear rise - 19"
Inside leg - 33"
Outside leg - 46"
Cuff - 9 1/2"

The trousers are in good condition for their age and are still very wearable with only limited signs of wear. There is some minor staining as is to be expected of a pair of white vintage work trousers as well as damage to the rear of one of the legs. This is reflected in the price but please take the time to study the pictures properly before purchasing.

All in all a nice pair of vintage workwear trousers with some great period details.
