An original Royal Air Force MK14 Quick Release box as fitted to the observer and seat type parachute harness.
This MK14 example is very similar to those used throughout the Second World War. The most notable difference is that it is painted black and features a castellated edge. The rear features a data plate with various details and a the War Department broad arrow. Underneath this is the manufacturer's name of 'Aircraft Materials Limited'.
The QRB is in good condition with some signs of wear and use.
A nice original item that could be added to a period parachute harness.
