Original 1950s Ladies Aertex Sports Polo Shirt by 'Tultex'

An original women's sports polo shirt dating from the late 1940s to early 1950s which is in excellent condition.

The shirt is made from a sea green coloured cellular cotton which is often referred to as 'Aertex'. It is a lightweight, breathable fabric which is ideally suited to hot climates or sportswear. The shirt features an opening at the neck which fastens with two closely spaced buttons which is a nice detail. 

Inside the shirt the original label is still presnt and bears the maker's name of 'Tultex Regd' along with typical period graphics. The bust size is also stated as 30" and when laid flat the shirt measures - 

Chest - 16 1/2"
Shoulders - 13"
Length - 22 1/2"

The shirt is in excellent condition with no signs of previous wear or use. Overall it displays very well and is still totally wearable but please bear in mind that this is a vintage item.
