Original 1970 Dated British Army Wool Undershirt - Size 30

An original British Army undershirt in a small size and dating from 1970. 

This pattern of wool undershirt was produced for the military during the Second World War and stayed in service until the early 1970s. It features a crew neck, cuffs to the sleeves and a waistband. 

Inside the top the original label is still present.' It bears the size of 30 and the title of 'Vests Wool Medium'. The maker's name of 'Davie Mason & Co Ltd is present as is the War Department broad arrow marking. The A/78 contract number is also present which dates the tunic to approximately 1970. 

The shirt is in good, wearable condition but does have a repair to the front and some limited staining. Please study the pictures before purchasing. 

A good undershirt which could easily pass for an earlier example.
