Original WW2 Period RAF Black Tie

An original British made black necktie dating from the 1940s as used by the RAF during the Second World War. 

This tie is quite possibly an RAF Issue example which has had the label removed. It is made from the correct black wool material, is of single piece construction, features the reinforced section around the neck and is typically short in length. All the features are the same as found on issue ties. 

The overall condition of the item is good and it displays well. It is a vintage item so may have small flaws commensurate with age. 

Whilst not a guaranteed RAF item, it is certainly a period one. RAF issue ties complete with their label are hard to come by today making this a perfect stand in for both display and re-enactment purposes.
