An original waterproof workers hat dating from the 1960s.
This cap was clearly designed for use in wet weather whilst working outdoors, possibly for dockers or similar. It is made from a black PVC type material which is water resistant and features a long peak. A pop stud is fitted to the peak allowing it to be fastened to the crown as shown in picture 7. The rear of the cap features a short section of elastic meaning it can fit from approximately a 6 7/8 to a 7 1/4. A small yellow label is fitted to the interior which has some handwritten numbers on it.
The cap is in good condition and it displays well. It looks to be very wearable.
A very interesting piece of workwear design!
