Original 1942 Dated British White Kit Bag

An original 1942 dated British Army soldiers kit bag in good condition. 

This pattern of kit bag was issued to men in the Royal Air Force, British Army, Royal Marines and others. It is made from a white coloured cotton canvas and features a blue painted band to the middle. Brass eyelets are fitted around the top edge through which the original rope drawstring is still present. 

The inner flap bears the manufacturer's name, War Department broad arrow marking and 1942 date. 

The bag is in good condition with some signs of wear and use as can be seen in the pictures. 

A nice original wartime kit bag which would make a great addition to any collection.
