Original 1940s Indian Made Khaki Drill Trousers

SOLD

Code: 51663

An original pair of British Khaki Drill Trousers dating from the Second World War and in good condition.

The trousers are typical of wartime period British military trousers featuring a high-rise waist, wide leg, slash hip pockets and a single rear pocket. The have a button fly and a tabbed waist fastening which has two buttons to choose from and is again a common feature to find on trousers of this period. Waist adjusters are fitted to each side and belt loops are found positioned around the waist. There are also buttons fitted to the inside of the waistband designed to support braces.

Being of private purchase origin there are no labels are markings. The buttons used for the fly however are a style which is often encountered on wartime Indian made KD and JG items.

When laid flat the trousers measure -

Waist - 18 3/4"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 17"
Inside leg - 30 1/2"
Outside leg - 42"
Cuff - 11"

The trousers are in very good condition with signs of use or wear and use. There is some staining as can be seenin the pictures but overall they display very well. Please bear in mind that these are a vintage pair of pre worn trousers and may have small issues commensurate with age.

All in all a nice pair of original British made KD trousers in a good wearable size. Ideal for the collector and re-enactor alike!
