SOLD

Code: 51661

An original oilskin coat made in Romford in the 1960s.

This style of coat was very popular for many years with fisherman, dockers and other people employed to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Made from a black oilskin which was chosen for its fantasitc waterproof qualities, the coat features rubber buttons and and a round collar. There is a section of yellow lining to the shoulders to add additional protection to the wearer.

The original label is still present to the interior and states the manufacturers name as 'Harvingale' of Romford in Essex. Below this is a small size tage which reads '44' and denotes the chest size. When laid flat the jacket measures -

Chest - 25 1/2"
Inside arm - 19 1/2"
Outside arm - 23 1/2"
Shoulders - 21"
Length - 33"

The coat is in good condition with limited signs of wear and age. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a pre worn workwear item and may have small issues commensurate with this.

A good example of a classic piece of British workwear!
