Original Early 1960s British Cotton Drill Trousers by 'Selrig'

SOLD

Code: 51563

An original pair of old stock, unworn trousers made by 'Selrig' and dating from the early 1960s.

These trousers are typical of the late 1950s and early 1960s in their cut and style. Made from a khaki coloured cotton drill the trousers feature a button fly, a pleated front, turn ups to the bottom of the legs and waist adjusters to the hips. They are cut with a high rise waist and reasonably wide leg of 8 1/2".

Inside the trousers the original label is still present and bears the manufacturer's name of 'Selrig'. Below this it features the words 'Regd Empire Made' as is typically found on items of this period. A second label also states 'empire made' and bears the size. To the rear of the trousers the original paper label is still present which would suggest that these have never been worn. It features the same information as the interior labels and graphics which are evocative of the period.

When laid flat the trousers measure -

Waist - 13 3/4"
Inside leg - 29 1/2"
Rise - 14 1/2"
Rear rise - 17 1/2"
Cuff - 8 1/2"

The trousers are in good condition and appear to be new old stock and unworn. There is a small rust mark to the seat and a couple of other small marks but overall the trousers display very well. Please study the pictures as they form part of the description.

All in all a nice pair of mid-century trousers with some great labels!
