RAF Officers Side Cap by Battersby

A nice orignal wartime RAF officers side cap by Battersby, London attributed to P/O Edward Peter Towers.
The cap is in good condition but was obviously heavily used by the orignal owner as there are a lot of sweat marks inside the cap. There are a few moth nips which can be seen in the pictures. Other than this the cap is on fine condition.
The original brass cap badge and buttons are still in place and in fine condition.
The cap is a good large size, roughly 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 I would say. As is often the case with officers private purchase hats, the size is not inside the cap sadly.
A nice example of an RAF officers cap in a good size and with some nice history.
