A superb original Second World War RAF Officers Peaked Cap badge in stunning un-issued conditon.

When I first saw this badge I assumed it was a repro as the condition was so good. On closer inspection however it was clearly an orignal in fantastic condition. The backing material is typical of wartime manufacture and is completely intact.

The gold bullion to the front of the badge is also impeccable and is still the bright colour it would have been when first made, rather than the rather more dulled-off examples usually found. The brass eagle is also in great condition and shows no signs of wear or tarnishing.

All in all this is a truly excellent example of a wartime period RAF officers cap badge which would be very hard to better!
