Original RAF 1941 Pattern Flying Gauntlets

A nice original pair of RAF 1941 Pattern Flying Gauntlets in good used condition.
These Gauntlets saw wide issue to all RAF aircrew during the Second World War and their iconic angled zip can be seen in many period photographs.
This particular pair look like a good matching pair although they bare different names leading me to believe that they aren't a 100% perfect match. It is worth remembering however that left hand and right hand gauntlets were made in separate factories so perfectly matched pairs don't really exist!
The gauntlets are a good size 9 and have all the correct Air Ministry stamps to the interior. One of the zips has been sympathetically replaced with a period looking zip whilst the other is original and still retains the remnants of its leather pull tab.
One of the gloves has had a piece of leather added to part of the palm to re-inforce it which is none-standard, but appears to be a period modification.
Altogether, a very nice original set of gloves which have been priced after taking the few small flaws in to account. These would be ideal for a re-enactor or would look great in an RAF collection.
