Original WW2 or Earlier Royal Canadian Navy shorts

A rare original pair of Royal Canadian Navy shorts from the Second World War period.
These shorts are made from a lightweight white cotton and feature Airtex pockets and brass buttons. As well as this the shorts feature belt loops and are stamped inside in black ink. The stamp states the size and also includes the Canadian War Department broad arrow mark surrounded by a C, confirming Canadian manufacture.
The shorts are cut with a long leg which gives them a very early look which leads me to believe that they are pre-war and no later than early WW2.
The overall condition of the shorts is good and there are no signs of wear. There are some storage marks though and areas of mildew. Please study the photographs.
The size stated is 35" waist.
All in all, a rare pair of early Canadian shorts in good condition which display well.
