Original British Army Officers Bespoke Brown Leather Ankle Boots and Shoe Trees

SOLD

Code: 50941

A beautiful original pair of British Army Officers bespoke made brown leather ankle boots dating from around the time of the Second World War and in a size 8.

These stunning boots are clearly bespoke made and would have been very expensive when new. As they are private purchase they do not carry any date stamps or similar, making it impossible to date them to a specific year. They are however typical of those used in both the Great War and the Second World War by British Officers. The fine construction and small stitching is typical of earlier boots meaning that these could date from the Great War up until the late 30s.

The original wooden shoe trees come with the boots and are in good condition. The boots have what appear to be their original laces too which is another nice feature.

The boots are not marked with a size that I can see but I am quite confident that they are a size 8.

The condition of the boots is very good for their age and they display very well. The soles show signs of wear and age as is common with boots of this period and I can't guarantee how much wear they have in them, as it is not possible to tell with vintage boots. Please study the pictures as these form part of the description.

Altogether a stunning pair of early Bespoke made boots which would make an excellent addition to any collection.
