Original WW2 British Khaki Drill Shorts

SOLD

Code: 51222

An original pair of Second World War era private purchase Khaki Drill Shorts in good condition.

These shorts are theatre made, most likely in India. A large proportion of KD items issued during the Second World War were made in India due to the short supply routes for the Middle East and Far East Campaigns.

They are typical of WW2 manufactured shorts and feature the double buckle closure to the front, usually associated with wartime shorts. This design was replaced by the end of the war in favour of either the cross belt design or just a straight button fly, meaning theses are most likely early to mid war period.

The shorts come complete with a set of original steel buckles fitted to the waist and stamped brass button close the fly.

The shorts are a small size and will fit around a 26" waist depending on desired fit. When laid flat they measure 13 1/2" across the waist.

The shorts are in good condition with plenty of life left in them. They do have signs of wear however which I have detailed in the pictures so please take the time to study them.

All in all a nice pair of original Khaki Drill Shorts with some nice period details.
