Original 1930s Royal Marines Khaki Drill Trousers

SOLD

Code: 51366

A rare pair of inter-war period Royal Marines Khaki Drill Trousers in good worn condition.

This pattern of KD trousers is specific to the Royal Marines and differs from those used by the British Army and RAF. Made from the usual khaki colour cotton drill, the trousers feature a fishtail back, a button fly and belt loops. They have a conservative 9" cuff which would suggest these are an earlier example which pre date the Second World War.

The original owners name is marked inside the trousers in a way which is typical of items owned by men serving in the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.

When laid flat the trousers measure -

Waist - 15"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 16"
Inside leg - 31"
Cuff - 9"

The trousers are in good condition with only limited signs of wear and use. There is a fade mark across one leg and marks from where the leg length has been altered but overall they display well. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that these are a pair of pre-worn, vintage trousers of over 80 years old and may have small issues consummate with this.

A rare pair of early khaki drill trousers with some fantastic details!
