Original WW2 British Military Khaki Drill Trousers

£145.00 Approx $181.48, €169

Code: 10611

An original pair of British made Khaki Drill trousers dating from the Second World War.

These trousers are typical of those made in Great Britain during the early part of the Second World War. They feature a clear outline to the rear of where the original issue label was stitched and retain a few of their original brass buttons which are maker marked 'Firmin'. They feature a relatively narrow leg measuring 8 1/2" at the cuff giving them a Great War or interwar look. They also feature frog mouth pockets to the front instead of the more usual slash pockets found in the side seams which is an interesting detail.

Many of the buttons have been changed for horn buttons. This was either done as the original brass ones fell off or done for comfort. It is common to find brass buttons changed for horn buttons on this period of trousers, particularly on the fly, as they are much easier to use.

The trousers are a smaller size and will fit around a 30" waist depending on desired fit. When laid flat they measure -

Waist - 15 1/2"
Rise - 14 1/2"
Rear rise - 18"
Inside leg - 30"
Cuff - 8 1/2"

The trousers are in good wearable condition with some signs of wear and use. There is some fading to the legs which is much more apparent in the pictures than in person. Please study the pictures as they form part of the description.

All in all a nice original pair of early Second World War KD trousers with some great details.
