A good original example of the British Army GS beret as worn by the British soldier from 1943 onwards and synonymous with the Normandy Campaign.
The beret is in good overall condition, the serge is nice with two holes in the correct position for a cap badge. There are a few nicks etc to the top of the hat.
The beret is marked inside as a size 7 3/8 and is also stamped 1945. The cotton lining is in good condition and shows little sign of wear.
A nice beret, ideal for the collector and reenactor alike.
