Original British Officers Sam browne Pistol Holster - Converted

An original British Army Officers Sam Browne Pistol Holster which has been converted to be worn from the sword hangers of the Sam Browne Belt.

The original fittings have been removed from the rear of the holster and replaced with two straps with brass buckles which allows it to be worn hanging from the sword buckle on the bottom left-hand side of a standard Officers Sam Browne Belt.

This beautiful item is in fantastic condition as can be seen in the photographs. The leather is in superb condition with only a small amount of creasing in certain areas. All the brass work is also in great condition.

Sadly there is no date present as it would have been stamped onto the piece of leather which was removed from the rear when it was converted. It is however a guaranteed period item which would be suitable for both Great War and Second World War.
