Original 1950s British Jungle Green Aertex Shirt (1)

An original post Second World War British Army Jungle Green Shirt in good condition.
This shirt is made from cellular cotton which is often referred to as 'Aertex'. It is a lightweight, breathable fabric ideally suited to the tropics ad was popular with the British military during WW2 and the post-war period.
The shirt features a full button front, pleated chest pockets, epaulettes and long sleeves. Inside the shirt the original label is still present but has faded with washing making it hard to read today.
The shirt is a large size and when laid flat measures -
Chest - 26"
Inside arm - 22 1/2"
Outside arm - 25"
Collar - 17 1/2"
Shoulders - 20"
The shirt is in good condition with no signs of serious wear or damage. There is a mark to the rear of the left sleeve as pictured although this may come out with laundering.
All in all a nice example of a post-war aertex shirt in a hard to find large size!
