1940s Black leather boots by CWS - Home Guard Boots

SOLD

Code: 50196

A beautiful pair of 1940s black leather men's ankle boots by 'CWS' in fantastic wearable condition.

This style of boot was very popular throughout the 1930s and 1940s and worn by men from all walks of life and looks great paired with a period suit or workwear. The manufacturer is marked both on the tongue and the inside of the boot as 'CWS' which stands for the Cooperative Society, who are now know as the Co-op.

The boots feature a leather sole as is common with boots of this period and a rubber heel which is ideal if they are to be worn again.

The boots are marked as a size 8 and I would expect them to fit someone of this side. They aren't particularly narrow so should be a good fit on a modern foot.

The condition of the boots is fantastic considering their age and I think they still have some life left in them if their new owner wanted them to wear.

All in all, a smashing pair of WW2 period boots in great wearable condition which are becoming hard to find.

These would be ideal for a Home Front or Home Guard collection!
