An excellent pre 1953 example of the scarce Royal Army Chaplain Department cap badge.
The badge features a Maltese cross surrounded by a wreath which is surmounted with a kings crown. On the cross is the inscription 'In This Sign Conquer'.
The two brass blades to the rear are still intact.
