SOLD

An original pair of early 1950s Women's Royal Army Corps Slacks in good condition.

This pattern of trousers was introduced in the early post-war period and is very similar to those produced during the Second World War. They are made from the same khaki green coloured barathea wool and feature a side button fastening which closes with green coloured vegetable ivory (plastic) buttons. Waist tabs are located around the top which are joined by a piece of elastic and allow for some adjustment at the waist. There is a single slash pocket located to the right hip and tabs can be found to the lower leg which again fasten with buttons.

The trousers will suit around a 29" waist and are slightly adjustable. When laid flat they measure -

Waist - 14 1/2"
Hips - 21"
Rise - 14 1/2"
Rear rise - 18 1/2"
Inside leg - 27"
Outside leg - 40 1/2"
Cuff - 11"

The trousers are in very good condition with no real signs of wear or use. They look like they may be unissued and display very well. They are still very wearable but are a vintage, pre-worn item so may have small issues commensurate with age.

A nice original pair of slacks from the immediate post-war period.
