An original US Army Enlisted Men's tunic in a size 38 Regular which appears to be 1941 dated.
This tunic comes with a First Infantry Division 'Big Red One' patch on the left sleeve, Sergeant stripes on each sleeve, brass collar badges and a medal/citation above the left breast pocket.
Inside the tunic retains its original label which is worn and hard to read. The size 38R is legible as is the makers name and what appears to be a 1941 date. Even though this isn't clear I have no doubt that this is a wartime tunic.
The overall condition of the jacket is average. Whilst it displays well there are different area of damage which are visible on close inspection. I have attempted to photograph this as best as I can and it has been reflected in the price.
Altogether a reasonable original US tunic with a nice early date.
