Original WW2 US Army Enlisted Men's Belt - RAF History

Code: 54773

SOLD

An original United States Army Enlisted Men's belt dating from the Second World War.

This belt belonged to Corporal Sydney Cooper 991457 who served with the RAF throughout WW2. He joined up before February 1940 so would have been serving during the Battle of Britain. He was posted to No.111 Operational Training Unit, Nassau in the Bahamas where he spent a long period. Whilst there he was issued with some American made tropical clothing which included this belt.

The belt is the standard pattern used during WW2. It is made from a canvas webbing and features  black metal grip buckle. No markings are still present to the belt but Cooper was demobed at the end of the war which means this is a guaranteed wartime example.

A nice original wartime belt which is in good condition and comes with provenance.
