An original pair of United States Navy Cracker Jack Bell Bottom Trousers dating from the 1940s to 1950s which are in good condition.
This pattern of trousers is different to the buttoning bib front style often seen, instead featuring a zip front. These trousers came with a US Navy seaman's top but were also worn by Petty Officers. The trousers are made from a dark coloured wool and feature pockets to the top, belt loops around the waist and a wide, bell bottom leg. The fly fastens with a brass 'Waldes' zipper and there are two pockets to the rear.
Inside the trousers the original label is still present and is bright and legible. It states the size as 32 short and bears the original owners name and number.
The trousers will suit a 32" waist and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 16"
Rise - 12 1/2"
Rear rise - 17"
Inside leg - 30"
Outside leg - 42 1/2"
Cuff - 12"
The trousers are in good condition with only limited signs of wear and use. Overall they display very well and are still very wearable but please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that these are a vintage, pre worn pair of trousers which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A good pair of original US Navy pants in good condition.
