An original United States Army Enlisted Men's Tunic clearly dated 1941 with original wartime insignia and in a size 38L.
The jackets features an original 9th Service Command patch to the top of the left sleeve, an 'ANZIO' citation above the right breast pocket, medal ribbons above the left pocket and corporal stripes to each arm. It also comes complete with a full set of original buttons and brass collar badges.
Inside one of the pockets the tunic retains its original manufactures label which is in good condition and is still bright and legible. It states the size of the tunic as 38L and the date of manufacture as the 1st of April 1941, so quite an early example.
The overall condition of the tunic is good as can be seen in the photographs and it displays well. There is an area on the back which features a period repair but this is only noticeable on close inspection. Personally I quite like this as I think it adds to the story of the jacket.
Altogether a good original US Army jacket with some nice original insignia. Ideal for the collector and re-enactor alike!
