A very early example of a US Army Enlisted Men's tunic dated 1940 in a size 36 Regular.
This original tunic comes with a divisional patch on the upper left arm, Staff Sergeant rank badges to each arm and a nice theatre made ruptured duck which is most likely British made but could be Italian. It shows signs of having had brass collar badges fitted at some point although these have since been removed.
The tunic is named inside to 'JUDD'. Inside the pocket the original makers label is still present and is bright and legible. It shows that jacket to be an early example dating from November the 7th 1940 and the size is stated as 36L.
The condition of the jacket is good and it displays well. There are a few nicks here and there, particularly on the sleeves which I have attached photographs of. Overall however it is a good looking jacket.
A nice early dated example of this pattern of tunic with some nice original insignia. Ideal for the re-enactor and collector alike!
