An original 1943 dated RAF Ordinary Airman’s four pocket tunic complete with all of its original insignia.
This original tunic was the standard pattern worn by all men in the RAF under the rank of sergeant throughout the Second World War. It features a complete set of original brass Kings crown buttons but is sadly missing its waistbelt.
The tunic is typical of wartime made tunics and is complete with its original insignia which includes semi embroidered albatross badges to the top of each sleeve as well as semi embroidered Leading Aircraftsman badges below them.
Inside the jacket the original label is still present and states the jackets size as No.6 which will fit up to a 39" chest and a 35" waist. The label also bares the War Department broad arrow, makers name and the 1943 date.
Overall a nice clean raf jacket with original insignia and a nice clear wartime date. Ideal for both the collector and reenactor!
