A rare original WW2 RAF Officers Khaki Drill tunic in excellent condition.
This tunic is made from a cotton drill which is somewhat lighter in weight to the standard Khaki Drill tunics found from this period having a much softer and more flexible feel to it.
To the chest of the jacket above the left-hand breast pocket is evidence of where a half wing has been stitched on previously, so this tunic may well have belonged to someone on Aircrew duties.
The jacket comes complete with a full set of brass RAF Kings crown buttons which are held on with metal rings attached to the rear, as is standard on wartime KD tunics.
Inside the tunic has the initials 'ADC' written inside the neck as well as the numerals 40 which almost certainly denote the chest size as 40".
Sadly there is no belt but it would be possible to source or make one. I have the correct buckles listed if one was needed.
All in all an excellent wartime RAF officers tunic in a good size. This would be ideal for the collector and re-enactor alike!
