An original pair of Royal Air Force officer's shoes which were made by 'K Shoes' during the Second World War.
These shoes belonged to a Polish airman who served in the UK During WW2. Sadly the last custodian lost the information regarding the original owner but I did see it when he purchased them so can confirm that these are original wartime shoes.
The shoes follow the regulation pattern worn by officers in the RAF during the 1930s and 1940s. They are made from a black coloured smooth grain leather and feature a toe cap. Five pairs of eyelets are fitted to each shoe and the soles and heels are the original leather examples. All the stitching to the uppers is very fine which is typical of shoes from this period. Inside the shoes feature the 'K Shoes' logo which was used by the brand during the 1940s along with some other details which are hard to read.
The shoes are around a size 7 - 7 1/2 and measure 11 1/4" in length and 3 7/8" at the widest point when measured outside of the shoe.
The shoes are in good condition for their age with signs of wear and use. The soles show signs of wear and there is some crazing to the black leather finish of the uppers. The leather to the interior also shows signs of wear but overall they display well. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that it is a pre-worn vintage jacket which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
A nice pair of original WW2 RAF officer's shoes.
