Code: 55013

£185.00 Approx $233.59, €215.62

An unusual original Second World War Two period private purchase British military leather jerkin in good condition.

This jerkin was most likely made during WW2 although could date from earlier. It is notably shorter in the body than the standard issue version and the rear features a multi-panel construction. Like the issue version it is made from leather and lined in a khaki green coloured serge wool. The front fastens with four large plastic buttons and it features a high rounded neckline. Inside there is evidence of where a commercial label was originally fitted which confirms that this is a private purchase item.

The jerkinis a smaller size which will fit around a 36" Chest. Full measurements to follow.

The condition of the waistcoat is good as can be seen in the pictures. The leather shows signs of wear and age and has a great patina to it and no serious flaws or damage. The wool blanket lining is also sound and free from damage and all the stitching appears to be strong meaning that it is still a wearable item. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that it is a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.

A very nice original private purchase item which displays well.
