A nice original guaranteed wartime RAF OA tunic complete with its original belt.
This tunic came to me along with a number of other items including an RAF bush hat which will be listed shortly. All the items belonged to an airman who fought in the Far East and are guaranteed wartime.
The tunic itself is a nice example in good original condition. It features a full set of Kings crown brass RAF buttons as well as all original wartime insignia to both sleeves. Two printed albatross badges are stitched to the top of each sleeve with printed Leading Aircraftsman badges below this. A good conduct stripe has also been sewn onto the lower part of the left sleeve.
Inside the jacket is also in very good condition but does show signs of service wear. The label is still partly stitched in but has been completely washed out so is no longer legible. As mentioned previously though, this came with a wartime grouping, so is not a post-war example.
All in all, a very nice original tunic which features all of its original wartime insignia. A very honest in-touched jacket which would suit the collector and re-enactor alike.
