An original Royal Air Force Ordinary Airman's Tunic dated 1955 and complete with it's original belt.
Whilst this tunic is dated 1956 it is identical to those worn throughout the Second World War by all RAF airmen up to the rank of Flight Sergeant as both a working uniform and a walking out uniform.
This particular example comes complete with its original insignia which is the post-war blue backed variety. This could be changed for wartime insignia without much trouble.
Inside the jacket the original label is still present and states 'Service Dress Jackets, OA, Size No.10' which will fit up to a 37" chest and a 32" waist. The label also bares the 1955 date and the War Department broad arrow marking.
The jacket comes complete with its original matching belt.
Overall, a nice original jacket which would suit both the collector and re-enactor well.
