An original 1944 dated Royal Canadian Air Force Officer's Khaki Drill Tunic in excellent condition.

This pattern of tunic was used by the RCAF throughout the Second World War. The design is based on the standard RAF / RCAF blue barathea tunic and features pleated breast pockets with scalloped pocket flaps, bellows pockets to the skirt and a pointed cuff. Brass RCAF buttons are fitted throughout and a brass waist buckle is also present. Removable epaulettes are secured to the shoulders and feature Flight Lieutenant rank. The collar features holes where collar badges have been fitted previously.

Inside the tunic there is no lining and a first field dressing pocket is located to the skirt. The original label is present and bears the name 'Men's Shop' along with the address of Eaton's-College Street. There is also a makers label which bears the name of 'The T. Eaton Co Ltd Canada'. The original owners name has been marked as F/L White and it is dated 20th of April 1944.

The tunic will suit around a 36" chest and when laid flat it measures

Chest - 20"
Inside arm - 17 3/4"
Outside arm - 24 3/4"
Shoulders - 17 1/2"
Length - 31"

The tunic is in excellent condition as can be seen in the pictures. It shows only very limited signs of wear and use and overall displays very well. It is a vintage item however, so may have small issues commensurate with age

A fantastic original wartime RAF KD tunic with a clear wartime date!
