Original 1944 Dated RAAF Khaki Drill Shorts - Size 1

Code: 51547

A good pair of original 1944 dated Australian made Khaki Drill shorts which belonged to 19938 J. I. McKee who served with the Royal Australian Air Force during the Second World War.

These shorts are the standard pattern issued to Australian troops during the Second World War. The feature a button fly with two exposed buttons to the waistband and side adjusters. The dark chocolate brown buttons are typical of those found on Australian made KD as is the style of buckle used on the side adjusters.

Inside the shorts the original label is still present and is again typical of Australian made items. It features the words 'made in Australia', the 1944 date and the size which is illegible. The original owner has added his serial number to the right of the label as well as an RAAF style eagle in ink which is a nice period feature.

The shorts are a smaller size as will fit a 26-28" waist, being adjustable. When laid flat the waist measures 14" across the waist.

The shorts are in reasonably good condition with some signs signs of wear and use and some limited staining. Overall they display well but have small issues commensurate with age which are detailed in the pictures.

A nice original pair of guaranteed RAAF shorts with a clear date and in good condition!
