£285.00 Approx $357.59, €332.94

A rare pair of Pre War to early Second World War period British military khaki drill trousers as worn by The British Army and RAF in the early part of WW2.

This scarce pattern of trousers are cut in the same style as the Service Dress trousers made in the inter-war period but in cotton drill. They feature the same narrow leg, flat front and fishtail rise to the rear which give them a distinctly early look. The trousers are fitted with a First Field Dressing pocket to the right hip and all the buttons are stamped brass examples as are often encountered on pre-war and early war manufactured clothing. Straight slash pockets are located to each side seam at the hip and the fly fastens with buttons. More buttons are positioned around the waist to which buttons can be attached.

There are no labels or stamps to the trousers but they are clearly a British made pair from the late 1930s or very early 1940s.

The trousers will suit a 30" waist and when laid flat the measure -

Waist - 15"
Rise - 13 1/2
Rear rise -  18"
Inside leg - 28"
Outside leg - 38"
Cuff - 8"

The trousers are in very good condition with no signs of previous wear or use. There are no serious flaws or damage, just a small amount of light staining from storage. Overall they display very well but please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that these are a vintage, worn pair of trousers which have small issues commensurate with age.

A rare pair of original early pattern trousers in excellent condition.
