A pair of truely outstanding RAF MK VIII googles - Easily the best I have ever had!
The MK VIII goggles are arguably the most iconic of all RAF goggles, coming into service during 1943 and stay in use with the RAF until the 1960s.
These fantastic goggles still retain their original Air Minstry stamp and 22c/ stores number which is stamped into the leather between the two eye pieces. Many pairs of MK VIII goggles on the internet do not infact have this AM stamp and those that do are much more sort after by collectors.
As well as this the goggles are in fantastic condition. The leather work is still supple and a nice deep brown colour, the tapes between the leather work are unsoiled, the brass frames still retain 95% of their original RAF blue grey paint, the chamois backing is very clean and the strap still retains its elasticity.
Air Ministry marked examples in such good condition rarley come up for sale, so don't miss out! These goggles would truely be hard to better!
