A nice original pair of RAF MK VIII flying goggles as used by aircrew from 1943 until the end of the war.
The goggles themselves are in very good condition. The brass frames still retain the majority of their factory applied blue finish, the leather padding is good with some signs of age whilst the chamois backing is reasonably clean.
The strap is correct and original with both leather pull tabs still intact. It shows signs of age, as is often the case with original examples, and has lost a fair amount of its elasticity.
The goggles do appear to have the Air Ministry stamp to the bridge although it is extremely faint.
Overall a good pair of original goggles which display well and would compliment any period of RAF collection.
