A good original example of the iconic RAF MK VIII goggles as used by the RAF from 1943 onwards.
The goggles are in reasonable condition for their age and display well. The original elastic strap still retains its elasticity and hold the goggles firmly onto a display head. The lense however have delaminated somewhat and the leather around the frames has numerous cracks.
The brass frames are in good condition and retain the majority of their original paint. The chamois backing is dirty and shows signs of service wear but is sound.
All the metalwork is intact and orignal but does have surface rust. The leather pullers on the elastic strap are both present.
All in all, a good pair of original goggles that display very well.
