A nice original pair of RAF MK VIII flying goggles as used by aircrews from 1943 until the end of the war. They also saw wide use in the post war years in the RAF.
The goggles themselves are in very good condition. The brass frames still retain the majority of their factory applied blue finish, the leather padding is excellent and supple and the chamois backing is very clean.
The strap is correct and original with both leather pull tabs still intact. It does have a couple of repairs and there is not much elasticity left however.
Overall a good pair of original goggles which display well and would compliment any period of RAF collection.
