A rare pair of original Australian Jungle HBT Battledress Trousers dating from the Second World War.

This pattern of trousers was designed to be worn with the matching battledress jacket which was also made from the same green coloured herringbone twill cotton. Like the jacket, the trousers are fitted with chocolate brown coloured buttons throughout which are typical of Australian made items from this period. The trousers feature two large patch pockets to the front and another two to the rear - both of which feature an inverted pleat. The fly fastens with buttons and there is a separate waistband which fastens with two exposed buttons. Belt loops are positioned around the waist and slash pockets are located to the hips. Like all trousers from this period they are cut with a high rise waist and a wide leg.

The trousers will suit a 33" waist and when laid flat they measure -

Waist - 16 1/2"
Rise - 12 1/2"
Rear rise - 17 1/2"
Inside leg - 28"
Outside leg - 40"
Cuff - 10 1/2"

The trousers are in very good condition as can be seen in the pictures. There are only limited signs of wear and use and overall they display very well and are still totally wearable. There is some slight wear to one of the front button holes which is illustrated in picture 6. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.

A very rare pair of original jungle trousers with some fantastic details.
