An original set of British Army headphones with microphone which date from the Second World War.
This pattern of headphones was used throughout the Second World War in conjunction with the 19, 22, 52 and 62 wireless sets, amongst others. It is the rarer pattern which has rubber ear pieces - this type can be seen in many original period pictures including in tanks and armoured fighting vehicles.
The headphones feature a wire frame as well as a canvas section which bears the stores code of YA5000 and the maker's initials of 'G.B.L.E'.
The original wiring loom is present and to this is fitted the microphone, Hand No. 13'. The maker's initials of 'EKC' are present as is the stores code ZA17605. The loom ends with the correct type of plug.
A nice original example which displays well.
