An original 1937 pattern webbing ammunition pouch which was made by 'MECo'.
This pattern of webbing pouch came into issue with the British Army in 1938 and saw use throughout the Second World War as well as in the post-war period. It has been blanco'd with a light shade of blanco which was most likely No. 97 which was popular throughout the Second World War. There are no markings inside the pouch but it came with other matched items which all dated from the early war period so I am confident that this also does.
A nice original wartime pouch in good condition and with an excellent period applied blanco finish.
