An original 1940 dated Case, Nos. 2 & 2A, Arty Board, MK. 1 in good used condition.
This case was made to house the Artillery Plotting Board No.3 Mk1 which was issued throughout the Second World War. This example was made by Mill Equipment Company from the standard khaki coloured webbing material used in WW2. It features three straps to the front which have brass ends which fasten through brass twig buckles. The rear features two carrying straps and there are two sections of extra webbing behind which is a padding material to cushion the base against the wearer's back. There is also a carry handle to the top of the bag.
Inside the bag the maker's intials of 'MECo' and the 1940 date are present and are bright and legible. Below this is the specific designation of the case.
The bag is in good used condition with no serious flaws or damage. There is some staining etc but overall it displays well.
A nice original example with an early war date.
