A hard to find original 1942 dated RAF large pack in good condition.
This pattern of large pack was produced in much smaller quantities than those for the army making them very rare to find today. It is the same design as the army pattern but made in RAF blue-grey dyed webbing. This is a notably more grey and washed out shade than that used during the post-war period.
The underside of the flap bears the original markings which include the maker's initials of 'D & M Ltd' which denotes Durie & Miller Ltd as the manufacturer. The 1942 date is also present as is the War Department broad arrow marking.
The bag is in good condition overall with some signs of wear and age. Overall it displays well but please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that it is a pre-worn vintage jacket which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
