A very nice in-issued example of the 1939 pattern leather equipment water bottle cradle.
This pattern was issued as a stop gap measure at the out-break of the Second World War and also served a purpose after Dunkirk when a huge amount of equipment was lost. Any from this pattern is now very rare and sort after by collectors.
This example is undated but it is believed that production ended in 1942 making this item a guaranteed wartime piece.
The condition is fantastic and appears to have never been issued.
A great item for the British Army collector!
