A scarce original pair of 'Windproof Trousers, Labrador Type' dating from the Second World War.
These trousers were issued alongside the 'Outer Anorak (Labrador Type)' and pre-date the standard windproof pattern more commonly found. The trousers are made from a brown tight weave cotton and feature a map pocket to the left thigh, a similar, smaller patch pocket to the rear, a drawstring waist and ties to the cuff (one of which has been removed).
To the rear of the trousers the original label is still present and has been carefully tacked back into place where the original stitching has come away. The label reads 'Trousers Windproof (Labrador Type) Size 3 and the date is also just visible towards the bottom.
The trousers are in good condition with some signs of wear and use. Overall they display well.
A nice original pair of this rare pattern of windproof trousers, complete with their original label. A must have for the serious collector!
